Resveratrol has very powerful antioxidant properties which protect the human body against stress from the environment. These antioxidants repair the damaging particles in the human body. Resveratrol is also seen in fighting cancer in the initial stages as well as during progression of the disease. It can prevent blood platelet aggregation which can lead to blood clots. This is the main reason of heart attack in several cases.

In a recent study it was found that, Resveratrol increases the life expectancy in worms, fish and yeasts. In some cases it has increased the life span by about 70%.
